As announced previously and at the AGM last week you will all see changes in the way you book for competitions in 2017.
We must keep pace with the changing world around us and over the last few years we have moved away from clubhouse notices to emails and our website.
This year we took the decision to investigate online booking and payment for competitions and that we would do away with printed subscription notices, fixture cards, entry forms etc saving a considerable amount of time in preparing all the envelopes and posting. All the relevant paperwork was sent out by email and the main fixtures are now on the website. Further information will be posted and updated on a regular basis.
We have now made the decision to move to online entry (and payment) for our 4 main events. We will also be changing the arrangements for entry to our hole & hole and winter foursomes competitions.
Since the website is now an essential part of the way we stay in touch with all our members we have taken the decision to refresh and update our website and move it onto a more robust platform. These changes will be taking place over the next few months so that we are up and running, the systems all tested as far as they can be, and fully operational well before the start of the new golfing season. Further updates and instructions on the new systems will follow.
The website is your ELLCGA notice board. our website on a regular basis too. Good news for Facebook users - it is intended that as part of the changes to the website all news items posted to the website will automatically go to Facebook too.
